At
Northern Caribbean University, we are rising to the challenge of
higher education in the twenty-first century. We have designed
our programmes to anticipate and meet the needs for the next
generation and have embraced change enthusiastically. With
highly qualified and experienced faculty, and high calibre
students, we offer a unique opportunity to do many things
differently from others. Our success so far has been the result
of a superb team effort by active scholars, teachers, a caring
and committed staff, and our hardworking and exceptionally
motivated students.
T
Northern Caribbean University is committed to academic
excellence in our classrooms; relevant and effective programmes
in our curriculum; and caring attention to our students. One of
our great strengths is the enthusiastic, personal involvement of
our administrators, faculty, and staff in creating a sense of
community on campus and beyond. We believe that the opportunity
for higher Christian education should be available to all who
seek it, and we will continue to meet the ongoing challenges
that higher education presents in the years ahead.
Our students are provided with the academic tools, practical
skills, and opportunities necessary to advance as leaders in
their professions and their communities. The university
encourages active participation in an education that challenges
critical thinking, provides career preparation, instills values,
and inspires lifelong learning. We realize that each student is
unique and, as a community, we strive to maximize that unique
potential.
The University’s mantra, NCU C.A.R.E.S, which is the acronym for
Christ-centredness, Affirmation, Respect, Excellence and
Stewardship, is the pillar of our very existence.
The university will endeavour to provide courses that are relevant
to the ever changing needs of the society. It will continue to
work with the various accreditation bodies and other
stakeholders to ensure that each programme meets the standards
and expectations of the workforce to which students are
preparing to apply their training.
Your recommendations and comments are welcome as they
help us to more appropriately meet the needs of our students and
the demands of a global village.
