 What is the procedure to obtain a transcript?

Please send a written request with your signature and the following: Full name (while studying here), programme of study, date of graduation, I.D. number, if recalled, and the name of the institution where the transcript should be sent.

 

University policy requires that a request for transcript  be made by the person whose record is being requested and all outstanding balances have been cleared.   Persons applying for transcripts must indicate a contact number and address or email on their request.

 What is the cost and how do I make payment?

The cost varies according to the area of the world that the transcript is being sent.  For transcripts being mailed in Jamaica, the cost is JA$500; for mailings to the Americas and the Caribbean, the cost is the equivalent or US$15.00; for mailings to Europe, the cost is US$25; for mailings to Africa, the equivalent or US$35; for mailings to the far east, the equivalent of US$40 and for other areas, the cost is determined by the postal service.  For international mailings, payment may be by international money order negotiable in Jamaica.

 

Local - The payment can be made to Paymaster or Bill Express in Jamaica to the account number 51-66101.   This account number  should be used when paying for a transcript at these payment outlets. Please do not pay transcript fees to your personal account number.  Please fax us a copy of the transaction at 625-7609.

 

Overseas - Payment must be an international money order negotiable in Jamaica.

   

 What is the cost to send a document by express mail?

Inland JMD$700, USA JMD$3,235, Canada JMD$4,035, Bahamas JMD$3,380, England JMD$4,035, St. Lucia JMD$3,380, Cayman Islands JMD$3,380, Costa Rica JMD$4,502, Mexico JMD$4,270, Trinidad &Amp; Tobago JMD$3,380, Australia JMD$4,985 and Japan JMD$4,958.  This is subject to change as the dollar fluctuates

 

How long does it takes to process a transcript?

Transcripts are processed within two weeks of receipt.  Express mail delivery usually ensures arrival within five days.  Regular mail within two weeks.

 

May I use my credit card to make payment for transcripts?
