Position: Human Resource Officer

Job Summary

The incumbent will be expected to assist in providing general support services in the execution of human resource policies and programmes of the University.



Qualification and Experience required


  • First Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Management Studies or its equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour laws
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience preferably in a similar environment
  • Sound knowledge of relevant computer applications and HR systems

The Incumbent Should:

  • Design, illustrate and prepare printing layouts for various annual reports, information pamphlets, instructional aids, brochures, books, newsletters and other departmental publications and printed material
  • Designs, illustrates and prepares advertising layouts, billboards, posters, exhibits, flyers, letterheads, logos, certificates, forms and other promotional materials.
  • Creates electronically designed page layouts and imports word processing files into page layouts; may develop web based graphics.
  • Prepares sketches, renderings, drawings, cover illustrations and various artwork involving mechanical and freehand drawing and lettering.
  • Coordinates with clients requesting graphic design or layout work; develops ideas, suggests new or modifies existing ideas; demonstrates graphic techniques and advises other departmental personnel on techniques and methods to use.
