Position: eLearning Coordinator

 

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Masters’ degree in Educational Administration, Education Technology or related field.
  • Previous experience with integrating technology into different subject areas and in teaching ICT skills. including
    online learning that reflects knowledge of modern pedagogical practices.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in technology-mediated systems within educational and business environments
  • Good working knowledge of Learning Management Systems and related educational tools
  • Project Management Qualification/Certification and Pedagogical training is an asset

 

Job Summary  

The eLearning Coordinator enhances the effectiveness of the Distance Education Department by providing professional, efficient, and effective managerial support to the Director and Assistant Director of Distance Education.

The Coordinator is the chief point of contact for students, staff and faculty and will provide support for the implementation of eLearning strategies.

The incumbent will work with respective sub-teams to support faculty, staff and students in e-learning activities. These activities will include but will not be limited to the development, scheduling and delivery of online and mixed modality offerings ensuring sound educational design principles are in line with the policies of the University and our stakeholders

  • Must be open to travel to executive training and other special responsibilities
  • Enthusiasm for learning new things.
  • Capable of handling and interacting with a team
  • Good knowledge of how to interact with internal and external clients.
  • Capable of handling difficult situations in a professional manner.
  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
  • Advanced computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Strong knowledge of administrative process and procedures
  • Be knowledgeable of and committed to the philosophy, principles and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and give witness to these values in his/her professional and Christian life
